Operations Coordinator

Operations Coordinator is linked to delivering our vision to be a leader in transportation though relationships – service – safety and teamwork. They directly support day to day operations in safety, efficiency, creating positive client experiences while collaborating with leadership, drivers, clients, and vendors to maintain compliance service excellence and operational integrity.

  • Promote a safety-first mindset throughout operations.
  • Monitor drivers for compliance; conduct random safety checks.
  • Take corrective action when safety issues are identified.
  • Ensure fleet and equipment meet NSC and HOS compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with shop/outside vendors to maintain fleet safety and operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.
  • Oversee and support daily dispatch and logistics planning.
  • Coordinate routes, schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Secure permits for oversized loads across jurisdictions.
  • Monitor shipment progress and adjust routes as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Occasionally assist in load transfers or equipment operation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal/provincial transportation laws.
  •  
  • 5–7 years experience in heavy haul or transportation logistics
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of National Safety Code
  • Proficiency with logistics/dispatch software
  • Office level skills with M365
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure
